Each year we test and compare the best Breville juicers so you don't have to. Our detailed juicer reviews cover power, reliabilty, price and overall user experience. Breville is well known for kitchen appliances, and their juicers are by far the best on the market.

Breville BJE200XL Juice Fountain Compact

At a great price point just under $100, the Breville BJE200XL Juice Fountain Compact claims our title of the best juicer. With a powerful motor and a compact design, the BJE200XL is ideal for first time juicers who want a machine that is easy to setup and use.

Breville BJE200XL Features

A powerful and reliable 700 watt motor delivers performance comparable to larger centrifugal juicers, while using over 30% less power. In fact, the only issue we could find with the Breville BJE200XL juicer is that the motor is so powerful, pulp can come shooting out the feed chute if the pusher is not in place. Not a bad problem to have though if you want to make sure all your fruits and vegetables are properly juiced.

It is designed to be used daily and ran perfectly time after time, with only minimum cleaning and maintenance required. Cleaning pulp from the juicer is the bane of any owner's life and is the main reason people don't make full use of their machine. The Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain makes cleaning a breeze and ensures you get to take full advantage of a fantastic juicer.

While the BJE200XL juicer is definitely an entry level model, it does everything that the vast majority of people will ever need. Its power and reliability means it is definitely delivers excellent value for money.

Performance and Features

The cutters and micro-mesh filter are the core of any centrifugal juicer. Breville juicers use a completely corrosion resistant grade of stainless steel for both of these components, absolutely essential due to them being constantly exposed to acidic oxidizing fruit juices. These parts will never rust or corrode and their material strength means the cutters remain sharp and cut efficiently.

The 700 watt motor generates plenty of torque to handle even the most fibrous fruits and vegetables, which many inferior models struggle with. Other motors can burn out quickly when dealing with cabbage, sweet potato etc., but the Breville BJE200XL stood up to all of these in our tests. The motor operates at a set 14,000 rpm, generating a huge amount of centrifugal force (which the juicer gets its name from), maximizing the amount of juice you get each time.

In terms of size, this Breville juicer is comparable light at 11 pounds and very compact. This is definitely a machine that is small enough to leave on a worktop space, even in kitchens where space is at a premium. Having it left out saves a lot of time when setting up and encourages its use every day. The heavy grade polymer body feels very robust despite its light weight and its color suits any contemporary or traditional style kitchen.

The feed chute is generously wide at 3" and allows you to load it with whole fruit, rather than having to cut it up first. A great timesaver, especially in the mornings.

Ease of Use and Safety

The juicer can be disassembled into four components quickly for cleaning and the parts are dishwasher safe. We did find that it was just as easy to clean with running water from the faucet and the custom cleaning brush that ships with the juicer. The design prevents heavy clogging.

Safety wise, the Breville BJE200XL juicer is excellent. It features a foolproof double interlock system whereby the juicer will not run without the cover in place and the safety arm in the vertical position, making it next to impossible to have an accident with it.

It is one of the quietest centrifugal juicers we have tested. It is hard to hear it if you are in a different room, a great sign of how well engineered it is.

Its juice yield is fantastic, both in quantity and quality. While not quite the same as a masticating juicer, the Breville BJE200XL is phenomenal for a centrifugal juicer. The froth separator lid even helps you save the froth from the juice so it can reduce into liquid for an even higher yield.

Warranty and Support

All Breville juicers ship with a one year limited liability warranty for manufacturing defects. Given their famous build quality, it's unlikely you'll need it but it's nice to have that back up there.

Their customer support team is very accessible and respond to queries promptly. They were able to answer all the questions we had and we'd have faith in them should anything go wrong with one of their centrifugal juicers.

Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite

Runner up in our Breville juicer reviews is the powerful Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite. Everything about it is big, strong, and robust. From the large capacity pulp container to the titanium reinforced cutting blades, everything in this centrifugal juicer is engineered for heavy duty use by the serious user. In terms of power and performance, this Breville juicer rivals even machines designed for commercial use. There is a marked difference in the price between the Breville 800JEXL and its smaller cousin, the Breville BJE200XL, but it still delivers great value for money.

While it continues the excellent build quality and performance of the Breville BJE200XL, the 800JEXL uses some cleverly designed features to extend its functionality. This Breville juicer is definitely a premium model aimed at a more discerning user, particularly athletes who are dedicated to clean eating and health conscious individuals looking to invest in a machine that will last years.

With a 1000 watt motor at the heart of the machine, it provides more than enough power to tackle tough, fibrous fruit and vegetables - even handling whole fruit without any drop in performance. This allows you to take full advantage of the juicers 3" chute. The motor operates at two different speeds so you can customize its operation to the type of fruit or vegetables you are using for maximum efficiency.

The high quality parts and design mean there is little to no maintenance or replacing of components over the lifetime of the Breville 800JEXL. Like all Breville juicers, it is deliberately designed to very simple to disassemble for quick cleaning.

At just under $300, the Breville 800JEXL juicer delivers performance similar to a much more expensive masticating juicer. Overall we couldn't find any faults with it during tests and this is without doubt the model you should purchase if you have the budget for it. The Breville 800JEXL will get a lot of use and it is very reliable, with no issues reported in any of its reviews. All in all, this Breville juicer delivers a great return on your investment.

Performance and Features

The cutters are made from high grade stainless steel and are extremely corrosion resistant. The cutting edges are reinforced with titanium, one of the strongest and hardest materials available and much stronger than ordinary grades of steel. This extra investment in the quality of the cutters mean they remain exceptionally sharp for much longer. By being able to cut through fruit and vegetables much easier, the Breville 800JEXL places a lot less strain on the motor, prolonging its life significantly.

As previously mentioned, the 1000 watt motor is really powerful and particularly robust. It did not show any loss of power or begin to struggle at all during tests, even when run for a while with tougher vegetables. The Breville 800JEXL features a generously sized pulp container and a 1 liter juice jug. The feed chute is a huge 3" in diameter, giving you plenty of capacity. This Breville juicer is clearly designed for frequent and heavy duty work, which it does with ease. The entire juicer is built to handle large quantities without having to constantly stop to empty the juice jug or the pulp container, or even prep the vegetables beforehand.

The motor can run at two different speeds, a low 6,500 RPM for softer fruits etc., and a high speed 13,000 RPM for harder vegetables that gives you total control to ensure maximum juice extraction.

This unit is noticeably bigger than other Breville juicers but its size means it is very sturdy and there is little noise and hardly any vibrations when the 800JEXL is running at full speed.

The extra wide feed chute eliminates the need for any kind of prep, you simply throw in the fruit and vegetables as they are and start juicing. For example, it can handle a full apple or several carrots at the same time.

All the parts that come in contact with the food and juice are 100% BPA free, very reassuring for the health conscious individual that this machine is aimed at. This is particularly important for sportspeople as BPA has a very negative effect on natural testosterone. Many cheaper models use BPA plastics and this is really something everyone should consider when buying a centrifugal juicer.

Ease of Use and Safety

Almost all the parts are dishwasher safe, but like the Breville BJE200XL, we found that the Breville 800JEXL was really easy to clean with just running water and its custom cleaning brush. You can have the entire juicer disassembled, cleaned and put back together in less than 2 minutes.

To protect its motor, the Breville 800JEXL is equipped with an overload protection feature that shuts off the juicer automatically if it detects any problem with the motor. The primary mode of failure for centrifugal juicers is motor burnout and this feature totally eliminates that risk on this Breville juicer, so it will run reliably and safely for years to come. The 800JEXL also has a safety locking arm that prevents use of the juicer unless it is engaged, meaning those extra sharp titanium blades only cut when it's safe to do so.

The Breville 800JEXL is very quiet and very well balanced, eliminating the noisy vibrations associated with most centrifugal juicers. Its body is a beautiful die cast metal that looks like something from the stylish Smeg retro range.

The juice yield is on a par with an expensive masticating juicer. It has consistently demonstrated 90%+ efficiency, leaving behind only a very dry pulp. One of the best features of the Breville 800JEXL juicer is that is designed to transfer as little heat as possible to the juice (less than 1.8F). Heat destroys the nutrients and enzymes in juice, effectively eliminating all the beneficial properties of it. The Breville 800JEXL ensures that you not only get a lot of juice, but that juice is also of the highest quality.

Warranty and Support

All Breville juicers have a one year limited warranty. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship and Breville will repair or replace their juicer as needed. It should be noted that the Breville 800JEXL has excellent reviews when it comes to reliability but a warranty is always nice to have.

We were impressed with Breville's customer support team's response to our queries and would recommend considering Breville products for this kind of support alone.

Breville BJE430SIL Juice Fountain Cold

In third place, but far from last is the Breville BJE430SIL Juice Fountain Cold. A fantastic centrifugal juicer that stands out for very different reasons than the other two Breville juicers we have reviewed. While both the BJE200XL and 800JEXL cater to daily users with power and size being the main difference between them, the Breville BJE430SIL is aimed at a very different market. The BJE430SIL is built for customers who want to make batches of juice less frequently.

This Breville juicer is ideal for anyone who does meal prep, particularly bodybuilders and powerlifters, but also moms and dads whose time is at a premium. Enormous capacity is driving principle behind the BJE430SIL juicer's design. A huge pulp container, a specially made storage jug and Breville's extra wide feed chute make it easy to make and store very large quantities of juice.

The 850 watt motor rivals its slightly more powerful cousin, the Breville 800JEXL, for performance. In tests it has shown to be perfectly reliable during prolonged use, which it will be doing a lot of during its lifetime. There is some excellent engineering in this juicer, with technologies designed to maximize the amount of nutrients extracted, as well as the volume of juice. The build quality is great as we have come to expect of Breville juicers at this stage. Cleaning can be really hard work on many other centrifugal juicer models but simple, hassle free disassembly and design that minimizes heavy clogging make the BJE430SIL a doddle to clean. We had it taken apart, cleaned and put back together in a couple of minutes.

This Breville juicer retails well under $200, putting it midway in the centrifugal juicer price range. The BJE430SIL is the perfect balance of power, features and affordability, well within the budget of families with children, who need the extra capacity.

Performance and Features

The Breville BJE430SIL features the well proven Nutri-Disc cutters made of high grade stainless steel that is completely impervious to corrosion. Despite constant and heavy use in acidic, oxidizing juices the Nutri-Disc cutter showed absolutely no sign of corrosion and remained extremely sharp. It is this sharpness that drives the exceptionally high efficency rate of this Breville juicer.

The 850 watt motor in this centrifugal juicer is surprisingly quiet for such a powerful motor. It did not show any loss of power or heat up at all during an extended test. This is really important when considering a centrifugal juicer for big batches. The motor is going to run a lot, so it needs to be robust and generate as little heat as possible. The BJE430SIL features an innovative cold spin technology that keeps the machine cold and almost completely eliminates heat transfer to the juice (less than 1.8F). This is why the BJE430SIL can manage to extract the same level of nutrients and enzymes as a masticating or "cold press" juicer that costs 3 times the price.

This Breville juicer features a huge pulp container, at 3.6qt (3.4L) it is the largest on the market. This means you can juice very large amounts of fruit and vegetables without having to waste time emptying the pulp. In our opinion, the Seal and Store 70oz (2L) juice jug makes the BJE430SIL worth every penny. This custom designed jug is holds a huge amount of juice and keeps it fresh in your refrigerator for up to 3 days. The big problem with juicers often is keeping quantities of juice fresh for long enough. The BJE430SIL completely solves this problem.

A generously proportioned 3" feed chute means you can feed whole fruit and vegetables into the juicer without any kind of prep. We were really impressed with the amount of juice that can be made in such a short space of time. This Breville juicer was clearly built with busy people in mind. Everything about it speeds up the process as much as possible.

The motor can be run at a slower speed of 6500rpm to get the most out of softer fruits and its second higher speed of 13,000rpm slices through sweet potatoes and pineapples effortlessly.

For such a big juicer, its footprint on a worktop is surprisingly neat and its sleek modern finish makes it a great centerpiece in a kitchen.

Ease of Use and Safety

This juicer is tall to give it the largest capacity with the smallest footprint. It uses an Elevated Juicing System to fill the extra large Seal and Store 70oz jug. There is absolutely no spill or mess with this system and it ensures you get 100% of the juice. Nothing is lost in dead space at the bottom of the BJE430SIL.

Any electric motor that is going to get heavy duty use needs specific safety overload protection. The Breville BJE430SIL features just such protection and includes an overload warning LED for visually warn of any problem. There motor and cutting function are exceptionally smooth, owing both to its power and the sharpness of the blade. This means the BJE430SIL is very quiet and doesn’t vibrate like cheaper models.

The juice yield is fantastic, the pulp is very dry which shows that this Breville juicer is consistently extracting over 90% of the juice present in the fruit. The BJE430SIL really stands out in the quality of the juice it produces. A combination of its cold spin technology and a high quality, Italian made mesh filter that surrounds its cutting disc almost eliminates heat transfer. The result is juice that contains almost all the nutrients and enzymes present in the fruit. Less expensive models suffer from motors heating up, heating the juicer and consequently the juice. Heating juice breaks down all the beneficial components of it, effectively destroying the best part of the juice.

Warranty and Support

The Breville BJE430SIL comes with an excellent manufacturer's one year limited warranty in addition to your statutory consumer protection. Breville will replace or repair any of their centrifugal juicer range that suffers from a materials or workmanship defect within a year of purchase.
